I am a weaver/fiber artist by calling, a teacher by nature, and a biologist by training. I love nature, color, light and rhythm. I identify with nature’s moods from serenity and majesty to joy and whimsy. The individuality of my pieces reflects the synthesis of my artistry, my scientific training and my unique experiences and absorption of cultures and environments around the world, particularly in Africa, the Caribbean and North America. I am energized, particularly, in an outdoor natural area. At the same time, I am energized when with other and am enriched by our shared times. My social/community times and reflective quiet times are essential for my creativity, essential to me as breathing in and breathing out.
